Mudguards

Any recommendations for mudguards for a rigid MTB commuter? They all look really chunky and will dwarf the 26x1.3inch tyre i run.
I dont like the seat post mounted ones, and have been looking at the cheap and chearful zefal 236. I dont really need true full length ones just enough to keep my bum dry.
What do others use?
Cheers, mike

I use a seatpost mounted one... can't think of the make atm. It may be zefal.. It does the job admirably.
I'd also think about something for the front, unless you like lots of spots of crud on your face.Commute - MASI Souville3 | Road/CX - MASI Speciale CX | Family - 80s ugly | Utility - Cargobike0 -

would race blades work on a MTB hybrid bike?
I have seen them on road bikes...or do they make differeing models?0 -
Zefal do a version of the race blade called the protektor.
Currently £17 a pair at Decathlon
They do 2 widths, 1 for road 1 for MTB/Hybrid0 -
Got some full zefal's on my 1.5" commuting tyred MTB0

This will work. I got it from ebay for about £9 including postage and it is excellent.
