Hi all
Currently i am running Shimano PD AS 520 pedals (Single sided SPDs) recently i have detected a noise which i am convinced is coming from the shoe/pedal interface (when pedaling with reasonable force ,uphill etc) as anybody come across this before? and if so offer any solutions! Very grateful for all replies.
A Holmes

    Ermm... what sort of noise?

If a slight squeak, try dripping candle wax onto the contact surfaces, then clip in while not fully solid. It worked really well...

  • I've got those pedals and have recently noticed a squeaking type noise. Don't think it's anything to worry about but bloody annoying! Might be trying the candle wax!
  • Yep - soles of shoes squeak on these pedals.
Very irritating - some shoes worse than others.

Only cure is to cut feet off :(

Or turn up mp3 player... :?
    :)
  • yep had that prob 2 - getting new cleats sometimes solves it but generally i think its a combination of recessed cleat type shoes not interfacing (ooer) well with various pedals.
