Helllooo
I've recently moved to Cape Town In South Africa and i've suddenly got the urge to buy a freeride/dh bike.
I'm going to try and raise like £3000-4000 for the bike. So that's the budget i'll be looking at (realistic or not). I want a bike that can handle freeride, some DH and some reasonable sized drops (7 foot or so).
This is where my problem arises. Having moved to Cape Town there are very limited bike stocks. The brands stocked are generally mongoose, some low range giants and other unknown brands from Dubai and the likes. This means that I will not really have much of an opportunity to test out any of the bikes I would be looking at.
Any suggestions of what I should do? Would it be a good idea just to order one off crc? ( they have free shipping to SA with baskets over £250).
Thanks
Neil

For that budget, you could get them to build you up a Socom

with a Totem or a Zocchi 66 and your pick of the other parts."Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0 -
Intense is pretty nice
How about somehitng like a Commencal Furious, I don't think thats anywhere near the top of your budget, so you would be able to upgrade a few parts as wlel if you wanted - only problem is CRC don't sell Commencal0 -
If you order a bike from CRC to SA do you have to pay any import duty?Eagles may fly high but Weasels dont get sucked into jet engines.
