I admit this is a bit of a long shot but I currently have one of these on my single speed bike and want to replace the chainring with something a bit smaller. I'm assured any 5 bolt chainring will fit so long as the bolt centre diameter is the same. If anyone has replaced some sugino chain rings recently and knows the number could you please tell me. cheers.

It's easy to measure. Just measure from the centre of the hole for the BB to the centre of one of the chainring holes, then double it.
  • cheers. Will give that a go

Thanks this was really useful. I have just been and measured it as described in the above and am now happy that the BCD is 110mm. Oh and apparently it's a sugino XD chainset, not what is written in the tittle! oops

Anyway a quick look on the net has come up with these

I'm pretty confident these will fit but if someone could just confirm it that would be great :D

You need the Stronglight Impact 110 rings

    From another website:-

Stronglight's Impact is a rebadged version of the venerable Sugino XD mountain crank. (Look at the casting marks on the zoomed view if you don't believe us -- or amble over to the Sugino page, where you will find the originals for comparison.)

If you are running a single speed, you should avoid ramped and pinned rings. TA make some rings like that specifically for cyclocross. You could try Paul Milnes cycles. Sugino also make rinds like that for single speeds, but the distribution is spotty in the UK.

    both those links are correct

TA, Stronglight, Middleburn, Shimano, FSA.... all do 110BCD rings

Thorn also do non-ramped rings for SS - see SJS
