Ok - this must be the most stupid question ever asked.............

But how do you find out what the correct size inner tube is ?

My rims are Sun Black Eye & tyres Nokian NBT 26 x 2.1

Help please !! Have been on numerous trails now and have luckily avoided a puncture - but don;t want to push my luck, so need to buy a couple of spares

would appreciate a breakdown of how you get to the right size... ie wheels are 26" so inner tube has to be 26"

cheers

first you mush have the correct diameter. and then make sure that the tube will do the width of tyre you have and then make sure the valve is what you want.

Note the tubes may be marked with the metric sizes which should also be on the tyre side.

Not at all stupid - if you don't ask questions you don't get answers.

Your wheels are 26" so yes you need 26" inner tubes. They tend to come in various widths to suit the variety of widths of tyres that are available. It will be clearly stated on the inner tube box or description, for example if you take a look at the following link:

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=7958

You can see the various sizes these tubes are available in; they will fit tyres from 1.75 to 2.125 inches.

Then you must decide whether you need Presta or Schrader tyre valves. Schrader are the same as car tyre valves. Presta are a different type of valve - check which one you have before buying!
