Anybody got any experience with this machine?

I'm buying a new bike, I'm 6'4" and 20 stone (will go down to about 17 when I start cycling again).
So, I want to buy a good value bike and then buy a better quality bike when I've lost the weight, hence I'm aiming for circa £400.00.

Look like a decent good basic bike for getting around on, good value too.
With your weight, you may have problems with the wheels (especially the rear), as they take the majority of the strain, but if you do a good wheel builder would be able to make you a decent set for not too much over £100.
Also check the tyre sizes, i noticed on a pair i once bought (700x23c) the max weight was 75kg....id hardly say im big but at 72kg im just on the limit. A hybrid however should have bigger tyres.
Enjoy your cycling, i was 16stone 8 years ago when i started, took me a year to get down to 12stone and a further year down to 11stone where ive been since.....id never go back!0 -

Ohhh yes. I used to put hand built mavics on me last bike, they'd last about 9 months, stay bolt straight, but the rims would always crack around the spoke holes and would finally fail in quite a big way if I left them too long.0 -
Well, i just purchased this (ended up with the Legato 3.0), and it is a lovely machine, much more comfortable to sit on than my old Raleigh RSP frankenbike.
Having no front suspension is going to take some getting used to though, and I don't think I'll be taking it off road.
Currently debating with myself whether or not to put my crusty old (but comfortable) saddle on it....
Let's see how it copes with 110 miles a week of stop start London cycling with 20 stone sitting on it.0
