130mph on a bike!

The 33-year-old broke the world record for downhill series mountain bikes by clocking a speed of 130.7mph (210.4km/h) on the La Parva run in Chile last Friday.

anyone know or can figure out which bike he used?

I thought terminal velocity was about 120mph??

thats with them trying to go slow with arms n legs out so with a low resistance suit like his, super smooth bearings, a phat front chainring with a teeny rear cog i can see how he could do it. good point though

bloody hell thats fast on a bike. rather him than me!! wouldnt even like to think about falling off!

with no padding thats really going to hurt

I don't want to imagine falling at that speed. It hurts enough to bail at 30mph on that kind of hard packed snow

130mph is bloody fast in a car so god knows what it must've felt like on the side of a mountain riding a bike!!!

I'd like to know how he stopped at that speed, really gotta get me some of the brakes he uses....
