as alot of people are I'm lokiing for a winter jacket for when the temp drops and i like the look of this
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=7530
my main concern is that its only water resistant and not water proof, would this be sufficient for our winters over here and how much would a water resistant jacket keep out if it was p!ssing down ! Any other deals on jackets that might be of interest to me that you know about, budget of around £50 ! cheers charlton

Something I like the look of the Endura air defence jacket.
I think it is warm and windproof but am not sure about waterproof.0 -

just had a quick look at that mate, looks nice but in the description on wiggle its says that its only water resistant again ! hopefullly someone will enlighten me as to how water tight that would actually be !!0 -
In the past I've spent ~£50 on waterproof jackets...I find they are less breathable at this price range or although they keep the worst of the rain out water does tend to seep in the creases where the material bunches (inner elbow for example)
I see CRC has some good bargins at the moment. Spend as much as you can afford to as there's nowt worse on a cold wet day, miles from home and you're cold, wet, tired and miserable.0
