santa Cruz VP Free

Im thinking of getting a new bike and like the look of the santa cruz vp free. I am being put off by some of the reviews that i am reading stating that the bottom bearings wear out very quickly. Has anyone owned one of these bikes or know of anyone that does to give me the low down.

    a few of my mates have had them with no rear problems. no more then any other multi bike anyways.
