I'm getting clipped - by on-coming cars using their wing mirrors - quite often nowadays as I cycle the parking-both-sides narrow streets of W.London. It never used to happen to me - maybe I'm fatter?
Anyway, today takes the biscuit: a Police van, coming too fast off a main road, and where parked vans obscured their view, turns into my path. I'm positioned to turn right and signalling. Well-over the white line, and (benefit of boubt) not seeing me until it's too late, he clips my signalling hand with his wing mirror.
I didn't hang around for fear of arrest for treason, arson in a naval dockyard and/or malicious criminal damage of a Police vehicle legitimately driving without any care or attention BUT how are we meant to survive when EVEN THE POLICE don't care about hitting cyclists?

I was almost run over by a police van too this morning! Just off Fulham Broadway. Perhaps it's the same one. He cut me up at a roundabout - I'd overtaken him on the outside coming up to the roundabout and he obviously wasn't happy about it so barged his way across me from the INSIDE!0

pull the feckers up for it, I've shouted at plod more than once and the tend to look a little shocked but leave it at that, they know they are in the wrong.0
