should come with its own. you will need to makesure the bb shell faces have been faced."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Ok shimano state that the faces have to be faced.
and when the shells are faced the shimano bearings seem to last longer than most."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Campag instructions say BB definitely has to be faced - there is no float at all in the bearings, and if you have misalignment you will kill the bearings rapidly. Makes sense really, as the mechanical system definitely works better with everything in line than with special features built in to cope with stuff being out of line - given it's really not that difficult to get a BB faced properly.0
