pedal axle creak

when I spin my pedals fast, they make that horrible moany creaking noise.
Should I service them, if so how? Do they need a regreasing?
They're DMR V12.

no, there is no play.
Do i take the actual axle out and takeit apart further, or are the bearings between the axle and the main body? I found 'V12 servicing' instructions on DMR's website but that involves replacing the 'plain' bearing, I don't want to do that though I just want to regrease it like you say.0 -

ok, cheers, I'll take the cap off and if it looks like there's supposed to be grease in there I'll do that.0

reading over it again it might be a bit OTT for a simple re-grease. can you simply re-grease V12's as they're cartridge bearings?0
