I'm reading on cyclingnews.com that Bruyneel is being lined up take over at Astana and that he'll be bringing Leipheimer, Contador, Vaitkus and Paulinho with him from the soon to be no more Discovery team.

I wonder why Bruyneel would consider joining a team that in a short space of time has acquired such a tainted reputation. Could it be that he simply doesnt give a toss, just as long as he has a team with a big budget to play with and a 'win at all costs to the sport' mentality?

  • There is a discussion on this over in road race... although the focus is on Leipheimer.

He will go to Astana because that's probably the only team where he can take all his doper's with him!

Tinkof can't afford them or they might be heading to the land of the gangster.
