Hi, i have some 2004 Dirt Jumper 3's.
The forks were fully serviced by windwave...new seals, bushes, oil etc

The rebound is too slow for my liking though, what oil should i replace it with?

I was thinking 7.5 wt....or is this wrong?

    7,5 is the standard.

scuse my ignorance, is the no rebound adjustment on them forks? If it's too slow I would go for thiner oil - say 5 wt.
  • to my knowledge there is no adjustment ...apart from preload which is air...from the two top caps.

5 wt oil then...il give it a try as soon as i can

    thanks

5wt oil will make the fork faster!

why do you want them faster?

what are you using them for? most jumpers want them slow so they dont throw you off.

  • when i say theyre slow...they are SLOW!..at the moment im using them a lot at the local bmx track and my mate rund his fast and his bike handles well

ive got the same frame and forks so want to speed up the rebound and make them a bit more plush....

could i run the risk of them topping out?

  • when i want them hard...ive previously run 25 psi in each side...but i believe ths may be too much...normally i usually run 10psi in each

ok so at 10psi they are slow in compresion and in rebound.

sounds like they dont have 7.5 wt oil in them now.

sure get them changed to 5 but i guess they will be too fast. as they are normally fairly fast with 7.5wt in.
