Marchisio cassettes
:?: Is it possible to fit a Shimano 34t sprocket with a Marchisio 30-14t cassette?
My aim would be to build a compact ratio 9 speed cassette 14-34t. Only Marchisio seem to offer the larger "smallest" sprocket. Any other comments/sugestions please?

You will need an MTB or similar rear mech to take the 34 cog. The largest a road mech will take is a 27. You can get top cog as large as 16 teeth in Ultegra but you may have to make a cassette up with parts from an MTB one as well. They come with 1 tooth jumps so may not be much use to you unless they can be split. The larger cogs are on a carrier and can not be split.
It may well be easier and cheaper to fit a compact chainset.0
