GT I DRIVE

Hi I have a GT i Drive 2 frame (the black and green one) just bought a sram x 7 front mech and im having trouble fitting it. Can i get an adapter to fit it? the mount is two low so the mech wont fit. This is my first build so it has me confused. Any help would be very much appriciated or do i need to go to a bike shop

Mechs come in two flavours: top swing and bottom swing, which places the bands in different places. Sounds like you need the opposite to what you have.
