I've just splashed out on some L & M ARC HID lights which I'm absolutely delighted with but I've only one minor quibble. When I turn them on it shuts down my computer. I'm not overly distraught about this but I'm keen to know why. Does anyone have any reasons why this should happen?

    As per the L&M FAQ:
Why doesn’t my wireless computer or HRM work when my ARC HID light is on?
The ARC HID light produces a weak EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) that interferes with most wireless transmitters on cycle computers and heart rate monitors. You will need to either move the computer away from the light, approximately 12”, use a hard wired computer, or ride without your training device and just enjoy the night
