Rockhopper Pro Specs

Hi,
Over the last couple of months I have been looking to buy a Specialized Rockhopper and after a lot of reading up on the 2007 models I’m now in a position to buy one (either the Comp or more likely the Pro). At the same time, the 2008 models have just been released and I’ve got to say that I’m a bit disappointed. Looking at the specs, it seems that the Pro model has been significantly reduced in spec compared to the 2007 bike (ok it is £50 cheaper than last year but still…). It appears that the only difference between the pro and the comp now is the front fork, and a slightly different crankset and bottom bracket. Last year the pro was also better that the comp as the brakes were better (Juicy 5’s instead of the 3’s now being used) and the wheels, tires and hubs were better as well.
Am I reading the specs right? Is it worth paying the extra £150 for the fork, different crackset and bottom bracket over the Pro over the Comp?
I’m kind of hoping that the announced specs of the Pro are for the US model not the one that we get here.

ps. I’ve noticed some inconsistencies in different peoples specs for this bike as well. For example, Evans show the new Pro still with Juicy 5’s even though the Specialized site shows 3’s. I assume that Evans has got this wrong?!?
pps. I’m buying this through the ride2work scheme offered through Evans and they don’t have any of the 2007 model in my size anymore so that’s not an option.
