Which helmet?

Hi...
This is my first post on this forum, and I hope to get some useful advice....
I'm on the market for a new helmet...have just come back into mtbing after a wee break. Predominantly do single track/XC (Specialized Stumpy FSR Comp). I commute to work on a daily basis, a round trip of about 13 miles (a 4 year old Giant Yukon with slicks).
I tend to generate a lot, sorry, A LOT of heat and sweat when I ride. The options I have whittled it down to are the industry standard Giro E2 and the new Specialized 2D.
Anyone own or indeed have tried any of the above? Which should I get? Neither, one or both!
Many thanks for your help

None before you have tried them! Fit is most important of all.0

Yeah absolutely try any helmet on before you even consider buying it as S/M/L size really doesn't give much of a clue if it will fit you properly/comfortably.0
