Hi Folks

I have an Evo8 with Avid Juicy 3 160mm brakes. I took the rear wheel off to change the tube and now the rear discs are rubbing on the pads and i can;t see a way to adjust them.

Any idea? Disc is straight and it was only off for 5 mins....

Cheers

Wal

Did you press the brake lever whilst the wheel was out?

Take the wheel out. Take a wooden clothes peg apart, use the tapered end of one half of the peg to force your pads apart, put the wheel back in, making sure you put the axle all the way into the dropouts. Make sure the bikes the right way up and then pump the back brake a few times to get the pistons back out to the correct position.

    rubing badly or just touching?

make sure wheel is seated correctly and just use it.

you should re-align your calipers by loosening the CPS bolts, pump the lever and hold, then tighten up. look in your manual.

Not before you've checked your wheel's seated properly and you've reset your pistons otherwise you could end up with a wheel AND a caliper on the piss.
