....I have the opportunity to go out for 3 or 4 hours - which is rare. All my cycling is normally done on my commute which is 10 miles each way but sometimes I do a little more.

This week I did 127 miles and my legs/bum/lower back ached somewhat last night. They are ok now. If I do, say, 40 m tomorrow then the wek ahead may become hard (I've sold my car recently so have no choice but to ride2work).

I'm so indecisive - I think I should go and take the rides to work easy. I need to ride when I'm not going to or coming home form work and to see some new scenary.....

Hi David, IMO if you've had a day off the bike today you'll be fairly rested, get yourself out tomorrow and enjoy the ride, different route, different scenery. Can't beat a few hours on a sunday to clear your head See how the commuting goes next week,if your tired midweek just ease off and take a steady pace til you feel fresher. ENJOY :lol:

If I've got a couple of hours to kill I like to explore, try out some new routes and just have a wander with a map so that I get to know that area properly and so next time I can just go out that way and not need a map.

  • went out and did 50+m out of the house for 3h 50min. Knackered now. No use to man nor beast this afternoon.

It was very nice though, in spite of the wind.

Thanks for the help - I won't even ask next time.
