ToB - Team Bikes Barloworld & GB

Just curious as to why Ben Swift is sat riding a Madone 5.5 when riding for Barloworld ? I know he was due to ride in the GB team before getting called up by Barloworld but wouldnt Barloworld have just given him one of their Canondales.

Why are some of the GB team riding what looks like black & green Colnagos, The GB team ride Treks dont they ?

ben is a stagiere (sp?) for barloworld and some teams don't give them bikes, hence ben chose to ride his trek

some riders have very fussy set-ups etc so they might not have had time to sort a cannondale out for ben, and whats most important is that he is comfortable

kom overall is evidence that they did the right thing and probably we will hear in the next few weeks he has gone pro with them

paul manning and ed clancy both ride for landbouwkredit - colnago and were representing gb at the tob, so they rode there colnago bikes

I think Roger Hammond rode a Disco Channel Madone and had Disco titles on his kit when he rode for the GB team in 05 & 06

yeh thats true

did you know that most riders are banned from having team logos on gb kit

for example ben swift wouldn't be allowed to have barloworld on his shorts at a track event, but wiggins would be allowed to have cofidis
