It's a mountain bike - more character with a few bumps and scrapes0

Cheaper than copter tape, and almost as good - B&Q Repair tape http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.j ... earch=true"Internet Forums - an amazing world where outright falsehoods become cyber-facts with a few witty key taps and a carefully placed emoticon."0

Usually any point of contact between cables and frame,
On the chainstay (chain side) to save the frame from chain slap.
Anywhere else damage is likely to occur, I'd suggest bottom of down tube as this is a likely place for stone impacts from the front wheel.Cycle tracks will abound in Utopia. ~H.G. Wells

Your never going to stop stones hitting your frame and chipping it. Its a mountain bike its meant to take some abuse, it makes it look better imo.___________________________________________________________
