Fork lube

hi all.
just wondering if Pace fork lubricant can be used with rockshox forks or not. ive heard it can ruin the seals, so dont know whether to use it on my new toras or not!!
any help greatly appreciated.

prolly best to stick with rockshox oil i would think.

yeh, id thought that, but my forks need lubing as im goin on a 50miler tomorrow, and the Pace stuff is the only available lube. :?:
does it matter that much?

just turn your forks/bike upside down for a short time. it will lube the bushes and lower seals.

just using your fork causes it to self lube.

surely though id need to use some pace grease/ other lube sometimes though?

nope. the only time i lube my forks is at service time.

the RS manual sugests a drop of oil on the seals once every 10 hours of use.

thatd be rs lube then, not pace

i cant comment on the pace lube as i dont know what its make up is.

for the RS just fork oil.

just wiping your fork legs with a cloth that has some GT 85 on it will do if you are concerned. that is all that is needed.

Any teflon spray will work fine then just compress the forks a few times and its job done.
