How Easy to.........
replace a broken spoke?
Have just noticed that I have 1 broken spoke in the rear wheel, it has sheared right next to the hub. The rim now has a fair bit of "wobble" it doesnt appear buckled and I hope that by replacing the broken spoke and retensioning the rim all would be pulled bak into shape.
I am quite new to this cycling game so is this a repair to attempt myself or is it a LBS job?

It is possible to do it yourself. If the spoke is on the drive side, the sprockets have to be removed first, in which case you'll probably prefer to leave it to the LBS, as special tools are required.
You'll also have to obtain a spoke of the correct length.Anyone seen my bearings?0 -
Cheers Orienteer - Unfortunately it's on the drive side so it looks like a trip to the LBS tomorrow.
Hopefully they are not to busy and can have a look at it right away - this means I can get out of the house for a while and go for a run without to much moaning from the good lady.
