I have a pair of SPD pedals but on one side they have a plastic platform so you can ride without being clipped in and I want to take it off but I can't seem to manage it. Can anyone tell me how I can do this?
Thank you very much

Not sure if you can, if so there should be a few retaining bolts/screws somewhere about.
Be far easier to just buy a new set of double sided spuds if that's all you want.
Shimano do some very good while being very cheap ones.
Somewhere around £20 - £40..... M520's or M540's i believeCycle tracks will abound in Utopia. ~H.G. Wells

The Shimano M520s are excellent for the money and always score 10/10 - I sold the ones that came with my marin to my mate as I wanted to use flats - but flat pedals just ruin a nice race bike, so had to go ad buy some M520s again - you can get them for about £20-30.
A little heavy compared to the XTR but a good starting point0 -
I reckon by the sounds of it that you have reflectors clipped into the pedals. I had 'em on my 520's just need to twist them out same as yer foot.
Also, ebay and Merlin for the pedals, 520's are pretty easy to get for £15-20.0 -
yes.
Loosen the springs in the pedals right off and just twist the plastic things out.0 -
Cheers, for the help I'll give it a go, but I might get some 520's instead
Cheers

I thimk the ones you are talking about are 520's I took mine off, if you were to get some more Pedals i would personally not go with shimano, something like xpedo, Ritchey, or Time are much better IMO0
