University bike insurance

My son is off to Uni in a few weeks....Endsleigh want £89 a year to insure a £500 Ribble in a locked shed and with a good bike lock. Anyone know better insurance deals for bike only ?

    That's about he going rate for bike specific insurance-10-20% of the value depending on area. I use Environmental transport association. They are competitive and offer roadside recovery, no claims bonus, damage cover, new for old and claim 'ethical 'credentials. They also have the least stipulations about lock type and hours during which it is covered.
