I am currently looking for a hardtail for £600. GT Aggressor XCR, from Halfords has caught my eye so far.
Had a look through the forum, and very little info on the XCR, I currently have a GT, and have enjoyed it, but should I be looking at something else. Spec wise the GT seems very good for the money.
Any coooments or thoughts would be a great help.
Cheers

Anything really, from a costal paths, woodlands, general off road stuff. Last time I took my rigid GT downhill, I couldn't feel my hands, hence a hardtail.
Yes thanks Mark, saw the review on the XCR0 -
Usual suspects are the Spesh Rockhopper disc, Trek 6500, GT Avalanche expert and XCR.0

a Merlin Malt 1 beats it hands down on spec, full LX kit, mavic 717, Rebas, Raceface Evolve finishing kit for £640 or £660 with black rims and spokes0

MALT1 one also uses a very basic generic frameset.0

Thanks for the response guys. Should have said, need to source through halfords so I that rules out the Merlin. (Cyle to work scheme you see).0

i thought halfords could order Merlins for that scheme? might be wrong though.0
