Time Impact pedal adjustment
I'm happily using a pair of Time Impact RXS pedals that are about 15 months old. One is slightly loose on my foot now. Noticeable out of the saddle going uphill and sometimes when working hard on the flat. Maybe the cleat is worn. Can I easily adjust something on the pedal to take up the slack or do I need to get a new pair of cleats?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi NPH
I have impact pedals as well and cannot see anyway to adjust them. I would first try a new pair of cleats as worn one will probably make your foot feel loose in the pedal.
One thing though, you say Impact RXS. I think Time do Impact and RXS pedals - two different types. I have the Impact ones.

If you have the RXS ones, check out this link as they could be faulty.

Yup, you're right they are RXS. I used to have Impact ones and they were good too. I did have to send these back to get the fault fixed when I bought them, but that's not the issue now. How many miles do you reckon on cleats lasting?0

I've been using Time Impacts for 4 years - I've got three pairs of pedals and yet to replace a pair of cleats - they last a long, long time - one pair must have done at least 20,000km. With the basic pedals, there's no adjustments - on the higher models you can adjust the motion but not retention. Not wearing the shoes - clip the shoes to the pedals and move it around to see where the movement is - compare one with the other - even put the right shoe on the left pedal to compare how they feel..Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

That is a long lasting cleat Monty Dog. I must admit, I keep looking at my cleats and think: 'when are these going to wear out?' Two years down the line and they are still going strong!
Cannot say I have done the impressive 20,000 miles that you have done on them but that is a pretty good advert for Time cleats!0
