Ok guys remedy time, the crank bolt on my Truvativ GXP Firex cranks keeps coming loose, i've tightened it up as much as i dare as the alloy bolt seems a bit to soft for the type of leverage needed to give it a full on tightening.
Any ideas on keeping it tight as have read it is a common problem with these cranks, Oh and is thread lock the done thing or should i not need it, Cheers.

This is the external bottom bracket version right? Which bolts are you tightening?0

Ah, I see, it uses the one key release, and not the side pinch bolts like Shimano:

Yes it is the external bracket version, if you could check this PDF out as this is the type of bolts i have, it's Step 4 Figure 4 on the PDF document.

If the bike is new, and you are torqeing it correctly, I'd phone the shop to be honest.0

I use thread lock on my crank bolts. But in this case its still take it back time if it repeatedly comes loose.0
