Sorry for another 'what tyre' post!
I am replacing some Maxxis worm drives (I dont think they still make them)
I want a light 1.9 tyre for fast gravel road/track racing.
Any suggestions?
Cheers

Errr How about a pair of Maxxis Crossmarks? I bought some a couple of weeks ago and really like them. Much better over hardpack than my Fire XC's. Not bad in the wet either.0

I know they re not 1.9 but the 2.0 michelin dry XCR II tyres are superb, but lack cornering grip - no side knobs you see but they are good on gravel/road and can deal with wet conditions if the weather changes or you hit a muddy puddle
or the traditional schwalbe racing ralphs (with a nobby nic back tyre for extra grip if neccessayr)We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

For racing, the Twister Supersonic worth a llok.0
