My Bianchi has picked up a number of stone chips on the chainstays and I would like to try and touch them up with a touch up pen. Does anyone know who would sell a touch up paint in Bianchi celeste or could reccommend a car colour that may be a close match.

In my experience, touching up paintwork leaves a much bigger eysore than the chip you were trying to disguise. They only colour I have ever got away with is black. It needs a bit of skill and knowledge otherwise, particularly on the lighter colours. Remember that the paint on the frame will have faded and new paint will stick out like a sore thumb.

Why not dosguise it with a chainstay protector, and save the frame from further chips too?
  • I've got Celeste touch-up paint from Evans Cycles before. Unfortunately it's an acrylic which didn't seem to perfectly match the original.

Worse case you can mail order the new touch-up pen from the Bianchi online store.
  • Don't know if it helps but the Celeste colour is Pantone 333 (C 38 / M 0 / Y 27 / K 0). I doubt if you can get paints matched that accurately but it might help.
