I want to upgrade my bike.. i like trials, but use my bike a lot to commute, but love konas. Ive found a kona coiler 05, really nice, with rear shock, pig headset ect. for £350. or buy a DMR frame for £150. Which of these are a better value for money. Any ideas.. £350 seems a bit pricey. :?

well if you comute and do trials why would you want a fully?

  • Umm.. its a good deal, reallllyyyy nice looking bike.. and i suppose more comfy. Also i may do the occasional trails. So its a bit of a mix...
  • Well for communiting get a second hand cheap thing leaving you with cash to spare

If you do lots of DH/FR get the Coiler or have another look in the classified

If you domore park/street/light trails/trials get the DMR frame, what parts do you have for it?
  • Of those two I'd get the Kona as I've heard of loads of broken DMRs. If a trials/jump frame is what your after then I'd look into alternative hardtails! :)

Got an 06 coiler myself, very comfy although if you are tending to trials i cant see it being any good. I ride XC, DH and Freeride and handles all well, odd touch ups like but pretty good price too i paid £500 for a complete bike although the guy was using it only for riding to work..
