buying a 5 spped cassette

Does anyone know if it is still possible to buy a 5 speed cassette ive got an old bike( its so ancient no one would dream of stealing that it) I just use for going to the shops on but the cassette is worn and my LBS says they cant get one . anyone know of a shop that still has old stock :shock:

    I think you mean 5psd freewheel block. Halfords sell them.

    Cheers i'll get down to halfords. I didnt realise it was called a freewheel block, probably why I couldnt find one. :oops:

    It's not the same as a cassette - cassettes only cam about in any numbers with the advent of 6-speed.

    The lump you require has the ratchet mechanism built into it, not the hub.
