hi there, just got some of these forks off a mate for nothing but i think theres something wrong. they top out even when they are pumped up really hard and they bottom out just with my weight on them without any air in. ive never had an air fork before so i was wondering how much air to put? whats the max/min? could the problem be oil related? the forks just dont seem smooth throughout the travel and they make a really loud topping out noise. please any help would be appriciated and please dont tell me just to buy new forks because i dont have the time or money./ thanks alot

the correct pressure is the one that gives you the correct sag.

and yes too high a pressure will cause them to top out.

manuals are downloadable from marz's webby.

A service probably needed too. if they are fecked, they are fecked, new fork time!

so what forks do you have then?

    the 2001 Z5?

pressure is what ever gives you the correct sag.

Put 50 psi in each chamber as a start, and adjust until you get the sag you require. Make sure the oil volume is correct.

    50 could be too high.

if they are Z5 from 2000 then 50psi is good for a 210 + lbs rider.

the manual is a generic manual there are no pictures/images of the fork.
