Please tell me I imagined it when he said he thought it was strange that the guy on Saunier with his national jersey on shouldn't have had it on unless he'd won the national TTT?

I was only scanning through so I might have misunderstood.

didn't see it, but presumably he had his national road race jersey on ? and can only wear the national jersey if he won the event he is competing in on that day i.e. only if he won his national tt champs - also as it was a team time trial this may affect it perhaps

No need to mock the man for what is after all, a harmless and minor slip of the tongue - if indeed he did say it. Every commentator makes them and far too many on here seem all to eager, too often, to use these mistakes to personally abuse Duffers and are unwarranted!! If you don't like his commentary, e-mail Eursport and complain, don't personallty abuse him under a website forum pseudonym.

I saw some of the highlights this morning and the other guy was worse. Duffers did wonder why he had a TT jersey on during a TTT, but the other guy said "I can only assume he's the team leader for this race..." :shock: :shock:

Just heard his awesome shout of "ITS A DDDDOOOOGGGGG!!!!!!!" while I was watching Tour Of Poland. Fantastic, the bloke next to him had to calm him down!!!

The reason he questoned it was because he was in Sauier Duval team yet David Millar who recently won UK TT championship was in team colours.

I have written on many occasions to Eurosport to underline the worst offenses by Duffield and how easy it would be to find a better replacement, but have only gotten the generic "we got your message" e-mail back. I guess the official Eurosport policy is the Harmon strategy: just chuckle and say "good ol' Duffers".

I just just want to to say something, just want to say something about, uh just want, want to ask, say some..., like I say just want to say something about David Duffield's commentary he he he, oh my goodness. It's like something that, what I mean is it's as though he cannot put together a, as though he can't put a sentence togeth..., if it was my job I'd make some you know, make some kind of, I'd try to make myself more understand, more coherent and understandable. It's almost like you know it's as if I was, shouldn't he at least attempt to form, put my thoughts into an, put them into an order that makes, OH MY GOD WHAT'S THAT! oh no it's just a shadow but what I was saying was shouldn't he put his, as if he had no respect for, you know, no respect for viewers not to, he he he uh, try to put what he wants to say into an order before he you know before he says it?
