Cycle Carrier

I'm looking for a new cycle carrier. Looking at the Renualt proride 80 (as I’ve got a renault), the Thule Proride 591 or Thule Outride 561 where you take the front wheel off.

Anybody got any experience of any of these.

I have 2 Thule 591 Prorides, very good bit of kit.

Easy to use, well built, lockable.

Plus you don't have to faff about removing a wheel & having to stick it in the boot.

I'm prefering the Thule 591.

Do you have to have thule roof bars to fit them to or are they universal and will fit to any roof bars?

Im going to buy ojne today, where would you go to get a rack? Halfords??

Just got mine from Halford as the thule is reduced. Great buy. Just make sure you get the right fixing kit I had to search for a while as the numpties didn't have the guide. Glad i'd look on the thule website first.

The 591's have the kit to fit both Aero bars (I have OEM Seat Aero bars) & square bars in the box, well mine did!

The cheapest I have seen them is £60 or so online, can't remember if that's inc P&P, how much are they in Halfords?

I bought 4 591's and they are brill. I have them fitted to Vauxhall bars (same as aero's) but as a unit of 4 including bars they are heavy to lift on and off car.
