Hey Guys
I have narrowed my search down to the above three bike can someone let me know what bikes have the better specs and are worth the money
leaning towards the giant at the moment.

Test ride all 3 and see which you prefer, I can vouch for the Treks as they are exceptional bikes.___________________________________________________________

Well the plot thickens
I know trek are great and giant have a wicked frame and have come along way in the past few years, but just seen the 2008 TREK FUEL 5.5
Good looking bike and by looks of it same forks as giant and rear shock, but with bontrager post and tyres.
all sram and deore, not too shabby, and under 1000.00 who can go wrong.
What do you think of that guys0 -
Go with the Trek as you also get a life time guarantee on the frame no questions asked.Ride with a smile.0

I would say trek also, but like scubar, im biased towards what i can only say is an uncompromised MTB experience thus far.
However, as mosts posters will say, go and TRY some out for yourself, because people can only offer thier opinions based on thier own experiences.
I personally cant tell you Giant are great, although they might well be. know what i mean??0 -
been doing the math and the trek bike has tora 302's and giant 289 so trek better so far.
 and the giant has fox float r and the trek has fox float rp2, i assume the rp2 is better.
and i know bontrager are really good, so think i have a new bike
trek fuel ex5.5
thanks guys0 -
oh also doe anybody know the weight diff between the giant trace 3 and trek fuel ex 5.5
as doe not state on web site.
Thanks0 -
^^^^^^^^^ What they said. Trek lifetime frame guarantee is a real peace of mind thing.
I'd watch the Bontrager select components. I've got some on my Trek and they're a bit cheap and nasty if you ask me. My seatpost clamp gave up this week after only a few months. The stem/bars are getting annoyingly creaky. It's all cheapish to upgrade though, so I wouldn't let that put you off. The 5.5 looks a good bike for your money IMO.0 -
I rode a mates trek fuel ex7. It suited me really well.Eagles may fly high but Weasels dont get sucked into jet engines.
