I`m fadding on a new fs bike as my `98Trek Y3 is far less of a bike than my mates new Scott fs jobby! Is there any good deals on at the moment with fs bikes in large sizes (I`m 6`6") ?
Also what is the opinion about Rocky Mountain bikes? A local dealer is doing them & they look good.
Cheers

Rocky Mountain FS bikes are considered to be very good indeed. Definately take one out for a test ride and see what you think of it.
Trek and Spesh both have great prices on their FS bikes.___________________________________________________________

JD Cycles of Ilkely have a couple of Commencal Meta 5.5.2s in Large size on sale at £1275 (RRP £1699) however I suspect you would need Extra Large unless you've got very short legs!Commencal Meta 5.5.1

They're my LBS. Not sure what sizes they have as I couldn't be bothered to check each one, but their prices are pretty good.
Might be worth checking Evans too. Failing that, look in the back of MBR, WMB etc.
Edit: I'm 6'5" and ride a 19.5" (a large) Trek with no problem. I just put a 400mm seatpost in to replace the original 350. I found the cockpit just feels a bit long and too stretched out on the XL. All down to personal preference.0 -
I`ve spotted a 22" Kona The king at a lbs for £1500 down from £2k. With my cycle to work scheme & a bit of cash toward  I`m having doubts that I`ll actually use it loads as having work, family etc but as they say if theres a will! I used to really enjoy my mountain biking years ago, first bike was a Muddy Fox Courier & the suspension & brake technology has come on so much in the past 10 years when my Y3 was new that it might be worth getting All the kids bike have on what my Y3 had when it was all cutting edge
I`m off this week so I might pop in the lbs & have a tyre kick of this Kona.
Does anyone have any online reviews they can link me to?
Cheers
