Ladies and gents,
I now have our 2 mountain bikes back from storage, I have our 2 new shiny road bikes also, and a couple of commuter/shopper things, as well as a vintage mountain bike to resurrect.
Back in the day I used to drizzle a bit of 3 in 1 oil on the chain, but what should I be purchasing to keep the mechanical bits in tip top shape today???
I'm thinking with regards to maintianing the chain, and keeping the gears shifting nice and smoothly, and reducing any corrosion.
Any specific recommendations of brands and specific products would be much appreciated
Many thanks in advance
Dan

Some bespoke chain lube (dry i prefer as its less messy) form an LBS
GT85 and erm more GT85.
Some chain degreaser is useful to keep the chain clean, just dont drink it like some fools on here have tried...0 -
Ah the old degreaser is back
Obviously your referring to me again Steve
Actually the other de greaser gel they gave me (yes the bastards gave me another after I drank the first!!) was actually very good when diluted and used to de grease the chain0
