Slipping/skipping

I'm having a bit of trouble with my bike, its a GT Aggressor XC3. The problem is that when im pedalling hard, uphill/building speed/etc, usually in a high(ish) gear but sometimes in a lower one... It will skip or slip as i pedal... I have already had it back to the shop, and they replaced, a rear freehub(?), which made it better, but it's coming back... I will take it back AGAIN.... but i was hoping someone new what the problem is??
Thanks

It could be the chain has streched or the rear cassette has worn out (or front chain ring).
I had the same problem when my chain had streched and when i replaced it i also had to get a rear cassette as it had danaged that.http://www.sketchymtb.co.uk/Blah.pl the new XC in Kent

The casette and chain will wear together so after a cirtain amount of chain streach both will have to be changed together. (guys on here told me that a coule of weeks ago )
Cheak the teeth on the chainrings and cassetts, if the teeth are short and stumpy they are dead and you need new ones (you will know what a dead tooth looks like, they are noticably different)
Had this problem with my old bike which I ran into the ground, the whole drivetrain had to be replaced.Giant TCR advanced 2 (Summer/race)

I'm surprised the shop replaced the freewheel first. Makes it an easy diagnosis now I suppose!0

Are the gears perfectly adjusted?0

yep they replaced the rear freehub and the whole rear cassette/gear deely.... I think the gears should be adjusted fine.... Nothing on the bike should be particularly worn, its only 2 or 3 months old, and 3 weeks of that it has been sat around, waiting for the replacement parts....
thanks

I'd check the fine adjustment, may be skipping between cogs. Make sure cable is clean and lubed too, and rthe mech hanger is not bent.0

ive got the same bike as you CS91, and ive had that problem. mine was fixed by halfords, but i reckon that the Acera gearing aint all that. may be worth saving up for some Deore. thats ma next planned upgradeCarbon 456... http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/8854609/0

I had a simalar problem and turned out to be a stiff joint in the chain. It wasnt bending and as a result it slipped like mad! Be worth looking at your chain.Eagles may fly high but Weasels dont get sucked into jet engines.
