a better topic heading may have worked better.

  • it all depends what price piont your are aiming for. as ther are two types of stands on the market. under £150.00 which are fine for very light duties. then your have £150.00 and above which can be used for just about anything but hard b/b removals. either way your main attributes should be robustness and easy of use. we use them day in day out and thats the only thing we would care about. anyhting else is just unecessary bar a magnetic tool tray. good luck on the build

  • well a magentic tool try's a really good i'd i'll have to look into it thanks

yeh i'm was building it to withstand 150pounds of weight as ur average dh bike will weight what 40 50 pounds so should be able to withstand most things.

my main reason for the built in too lbox is to balance it out as the weight of the bike at the front and then the tool box at the back for the extra stability.

i'll get a picutre of the desing up soon its going to be new and different as i'm bored of the same old.

yeh the title could of been better couldnt think of anything at the time.

and no i wasnt riding i know a few people rode wedesnday from redcar mind

should be hitting it up soon mind

Somewhere you can put a roll of kitchen paper and a bin bag for collecting the used bits of paper. Apart from that I think you've already covered everything I'd want in a workstand

always a help in a dt exam. but usefully, to get good marks in a dt exam, its needs to be usuable with many bikes, have a logo / name, the way to get marks is with the details (and the finish!!!)
