Hi guys
This is a bit newbish but do jump forks and xc forks feel different in terms of plushness and bouncy?
If they do is that feeling adjustable ?

Not sure about the internals but jump forks are usually either 36 or 40mm instead ot the 32 on xc forks. makes them stronger for absorbing the big landings.___________________________________________________________

what are the forks?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Sag: this is how much the fork will compress when you are on the bike. Adjusted by either “preloading” the coil spring (adjusted by a dial on the fork, or by adding/subtracting spacers internally).
Compression: This will adjust how responsive the fork is to bumps, there are two types of compression; low speed and high.
Low speed deals with small bumps, anything from a pebble to repeated roots. If you have adjustable low speed compression, you can turn this up and it will be less sensitive to pedalling and general movements, but still absorbing big hits.
High speed deals with big hits, so increasing it will prevent it from bottoming out on bigger hits.
Don’t substitute sag with compression… The sag should be set right as the whole point of it is to be able to extend out when you go over a rut etc.
What forks?Shut up. And ride your bike.Originally posted by Jon
