hi, i have recently had some problems with a clunking noise coming from my back wheel,eventually we got it down to the freehub, i have replaced this with a second hand item for now but really want a new one as the bike is only two months old,(giant NRS-1) the freehub is a shimano FH-05 but i cant seem to find any is the a compatible part made by someone else ? the wheels are Xero XSD-3

    well you have just fubard that then. 2 month old bike should go back to the shop. for sorting.

  • Bike shop 250 miles away, they said they would replace the part if i sent the old one, the thing is, is this a weak componant my question was is there another make perhaps of better quality that i could use

    if you wish to use a different mke of freehub you will need a different hub. your stuck with it untill you change wheels.
