Rawnsley Road, Cannock/Hednesford, Mystery Sign

This morning I noticed a sign on the Rawnsley Road, near Hednesford, it had the words MTB XC on it. Being an XC rider myself I'm curious (gonna go and have a look Friday), anyone know who put this sign up, and what's it about?

Had a closer look today, it tells you to turn left, if my geography is correct, its heading towards stile cop

Got to sign, turned way it showed, rode miles but no other sign. Finally got off road at Beaudesert Golf Club, single track heaven, can't wait to get over there again. If you spend a bit of time getting up hills, well rewarded coming back down. Did scrape shin with pedal big time though, typing this with bags of peas strapped to leg.

what have i missed, i live up rawnsley road and haven't seen any signs

if you travel up from new traffic lights, there's a turning on your left (think there's some sort of stables as you go around corner), on post by turning there's a sign with MTB XC on it. It was still there this morning (20/09/07)
