Find it so amusing how much people get wound up by red light jumpers.

    Stop doing it then.

but he's amused so why would he.

When RLJ'ers wind me up I spring into action, especially if they alarm me. Still, it serves as a wake-up call.

That's why I sometimes tick them off, especially when I'm riding a second hand bike

    i meant on the forums.

if i cause an accident/hit someone etc ill be the first to admit its my fault. but if i do it safely and considerately im a 'pillock'? I got pulled over in liverpool street for it a few weeks a go.. i slowed for the people crossing, no more people were crossing, i slowly got my speed up, copper pulled me over and told me i went straight through them. i said i slowed first and let the crossing clear.. but he said in a more assertive voice you went straight through them.

no ticket.. just wasted 20 mins writing a short story in his note book. next time i wont bother stopping and see if he is any good at sprinting.

i run reds when the roads are clear of peds and traffic, yet im wreckless in your eyes.

Funny how i rarely get grief riding through london, yet a fair few of the anti rlj-primary assertive-take the lane so your safe are getting into considerably more arjy bargy than i do. maybe its this anal attitude that gets you into these situations.

The times i have had serious altercations have escalated from me stopping in front of cars at the reds and not doing 0-60 in 4.5 seconds as soon as they turn amber.

    :P
As a matter of interest, who else do you think should be allowed to go through red lights? Other cyclists? Motorcyclists? Car drivers? Truckers? Or just you? As long as its "safe". I hope you get a hefty fine next time you get caught RLJing, it might teach you what your average 4 year old already knows. You should always stop at a red light! I wonder if you would be so flippant if you caused an accident that killed or maimed someone for life. It could even be you, or a member of your family.

Even if the voices aren't real, they have some very good ideas.
