Deore hubs on a Sora equipped touring bike?
Ok, so it was a dumb idea, I went touring on a set of wh550 road wheels and the inevitable happened, the oft-warned about rear dirve side nipple went and now I am tracking down the spages (sigh)
Never the less I really enjoyed my first tour in 20 years and want to do some more. At sjscyles they have sets of deore with sun dr18 rims which look lilke the business.
My quesiton is simple:
Will Deore hubs take an 8sp sora cassette without grumbling?
I am almost certain the answer is yes, but if someone has done it I would be grateful to know.
Cheers
Al

Ask SJS about the cassette.
The other thing is are the Deore rear hubs 135mm width - the 550 were 130mm so 135mm won't fit your frame without having it reset.0 -
yes the cassette will fit. but as above the hub will not fit the frame."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Ah yes 135mm, of course... Thanks for pointing that out.
I might look else where then, or see if my frame will 'reset' easily.
Cheers
