OT- SLR Problem
I have an old Canon EOS SLR which I dug out again recently as I'm getting peed off with the tiny buttons on the digital compact. I put in a new battery and new film but noticed that many of the prints are black from the top down for half or 3/4 of the print and the part of the image that is visible is very grainy. My guess is that the mirror mechanism is sticky and not getting out of the way in time. Is this the case and can anything be done?

You could always get it sent to Canon for a service...

Is the camera set to manual? if so, it might be the shutter speed/exposure setting, if these are set incorrectly you sometimes get the result you are describing.0
