Hello everyone.

This is my first time at the new forum - looks good. Can't wait to look around.

Yesterday, I bought a Cateye Micro Wireless computer. I've had loads of cheap comps in the past and not had a problem with any of them.

I have to say the Cateye performs well from a wireless viewpoint but the display is a little disappointing. Particularly odd is the way the display deveops dark patches either at the bottom right or top left of the screen. I think it may be due to the way the sun/daylight catches the screen and affects the display. As the bike moves (say 90 degrees) the dark patch moves too.

I've not experiencd this problem on any of the 8 or 9 cycle comps I've owned (and all for under a tenner each). The Cateye was 25 quid so I'm a little annoyed at the screen problem.

Anyone else had a similar problem??

Ed

I've got one of these on each bike (3).

I wear glasses and don't recall having any issues with any of the three computers when wearing no glasses or wearing my various single vision lenses.

However, I mainly use my Oakley Gascan's with polarised lenses on the bike and I do notice dark sections on the comnputer when wearing these. The most recent computer seems to be the worst affected , but again, its only really been an issue with the polarised lenses. :?:

Thanks. That must be the problem. I rode with my lad to school this morning without my glasses and there was no problem with the dark areas. Must be poloarization between the glasses and the display. Funny how I've not experienced this problem with the other comps.

    Thanks again.
