Shimano compatibility across groupsets

I am thinking of replacing 105 my chainset with Dura Ace - because I would like the 180mm crank length - would it work with my 105 shifters and front mech? Alternatively are there any other brands that produce long crankarms that would work? cheers.

    Yeah, all shimano stuff is cross-compatible, assuming there's no other reasn it wouldn't work (10speed chain on 8 speed rings, square taper crank on octalink BB, etc.)

    Chainsets are independant of groupsets when it comes to compatability. Any chainset will work with any manufaturers groupset.
